This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

This poster, featuring Szabolcs Bozó’s ‘Vulcano Mouse’ from 2022, was created for the artist’s first museum retrospective in Hungary, ‘Soul Mate’, in collaboration with the Museum of Fine Arts and the Hungarian National Gallery, and hosted at NEO in Budapest.

Taking place from May 29 to September 7, ‘Soul Mate’ is the first exhibition at NEO of a living Hungarian artist and marks the third major retrospective hosted at the institution, following those of renowned international artists Bill Viola (1951–2024) and William Kentridge (b. 1955)

Curated by Zsolt Petrányi, Head of the Contemporary Art Department at the Hungarian National Gallery, the exhibition is jointly organised by Carl Kostyál and NEO Contemporary Art Space. It is the first comprehensive survey of Bozó’s artistic contributions, featuring works from the past decade. This landmark exhibition is particularly significant as it is held in his native country, bringing together a diverse collection of paintings and drawings, many of which will be shown together for the first time. The works on display are drawn from notable presentations at prestigious institutions, including the M Woods Museum in Beijing and the Sifang Art Museum in Shanghai, among others.
