This poster, featuring Marria Pratts’s ‘WALKING PARADISE’, 2025, was designed by Archie Barr for Carl Kostyál’s presentation at zⓢonamaco, Mexico City, 4 – 8 February 2026.

“Painting is like walking through a garden where seeds are scattered and the soil is turned over. 

I propose bodies without gender that flow and move through a landscape where they mutate, creating a place from which to observe the world from another perspective and to rethink new forms. I conceive my painting as a diary that reflects my own experiences. I am drawn to the idea proposed by philosopher Paul Preciado that the body is a battlefield, and likewise to questioning the very system that needs to label and control bodies. 

Painting also serves to question this and to challenge it by imagining new landscapes.”
