Works on paper made by 36 international artists for the CARL KOSTYÁL DRAW JAM 2022 will be sold to raise money to purchase a food truck, which provides hot meals for refugees both crossing the border and in villages on the Ukrainian side.
The Order of Malta Relief Organization in Romania work with the refugees on the Ukrainian-Romanian border, with a permanent presence of volunteers waiting at the 3 border crossing points, offering food, water, toys for children and occasionally temporary accommodation. Earlier this year, Carl & his daughter Julia travelled to the border to provide direct support to the charity on the ground, with Julia sorting and packing essential goods, and Carl driving and delivering this relief into the Ukraine. So far, the delivery of over 40 tonnes of donations has been orchestrated.
